Hi my name is Paul Jenkinson. I am a retired Social Worker with a background working with children, families and seniors. I have l learned to create a safe place for people who simply want someone to listen carefully to what they need to share.

I spent May through to December 2025 travelling cross-Canada, from Nova Scotia to BC, putting up my "You Are Not Alone, I Will Listen" sign in public spaces, with enough privacy available for people to share their Joy's, burdens and ...

The trip was a success, thanks to the generous support of the GoFundMe community. I completed 280 Days of listening, 9 Provinces covered, 50 Cities, and 700 longer conversations (plus 250 shorter conversations). My journey was shared by CBC, CTV and Global TV nationally, as well as many local affiliates in each community. I also had an article written about my journey in the Washington Post (which was syndicated across newspapers in the USA). All of this was a great encouragement that listening is a transformative and radical act of kindness in our modern world. I am now continuing my listening journey in BC for the next few months, to stay out of the coldest Canadian winter weather (listening in malls, universities, in prisons and social service agencies, etc...), and in the Spring plan to depart from BC to continue listening back across Canada, THIS TIME GOING TO THE NORTH, all 9 provinces I've already visited, and finishing in NEWFOUNDLAND.

I am seeking financial partners so that I can make this journey possible. The funding will cover the cost of fuel, the logistics of going to the North (which is more expensive...but worth it to truly serve people across all areas of Canada), myriad cups of coffee and the occasional motel when friends or family aren't able to provide lodging. (Already all of my pension and any funds I have for living are invested in this project, so funds donated go directly to making sure the journey can be a success.)

The "You Are Not Alone, I Will Listen" Tour - Phase 2 is a gift, a way to give back to those hard working folk who simply need a " No Cost" listening ear.
