I want my son back with me

I am a Colombian woman who married an American in Colombia. We first met in Bogotá in 2013. At that time, he was working in one of the largest TV stations in Colombia, RCN. I was doing my internship at the same tv station and I already had two sons of my own. We got married because I got pregnant. Since we started living together, he was abusive with my two sons and myself. I had a big belly and I was dependent on him for everything. He was also a public figure, so I was afraid to speak out about his abusive behavior and I never said anything. We moved from Colombia to the US in December 2016. We were living with his parents and I realized his parents, like him, were abusive. They were racist and my sons and I had to face a lot of abusive behavior from them. I was alone in this country with my kids and I did not know what to do. My ex-husband never stopped the abusive behavior- it was physical, mental, emotional and even sexual. A month ago, I decided to finally speak up and called the police on him because he hit me and was choking me. His parents paid for the bond and the same day he was released from jail. He was given a restraining order and went on to fill out a dissolution of marriage summons, where he petitioned the court for total custody of our son and asked for me to only have visitations rights. Because of COVID'19, all the courts are closed which is why we must wait for the divorce and for the custody of our son to be decided. In the meantime, I was letting my son go with his father every day. Fifteen days ago, I received a message from my ex husband's mother, saying that a court ordered my son to live with them and that I only can visit him there. As I mentioned before, the courts are CLOSED which means they are lying about this and are not allowing my son to come home to me. They will not even put him on the phone when I call because I want to talk to him. They have said that if I want to see him, that I must go to their house but I am not willing to do that because I do not trust them. I need a lawyer, but the ones I have talked to are way too expensive. This is the reason I established this Go-Fund-Me. I need to get my son back. I have not done anything wrong. My ex-husband was abusive for years, now they are trying to leave me without my baby.
