I need to see my little brother

This is difficult for me to write. To be adopted without ever having known your parents is to feel very alone in the world. Luckily I was adopted into a loving family and had a happy childhood. I had a cousin, also adopted, whom I grew up with. We were very close. Around the age of 25 we found out that both of our parents adopted us from the same mother and father, so I had a brother! We were overjoyed at this unlikely turn of events.

Now my little brother has cancer and is in a bad way. I need to go see him, but I am retired on a fixed income and have no money. This hurts my pride, but this is more important than that. For the first time in my life I am forced to rely on the kindness of others. I have started a GoFundme account to hopefully raise the $2000 I need for travel expenses to North Carolina.
