Hellooo, and thank you for following my link from Party in the Park xxx
I'm SO excited to see you, and to get to say a big, BIG, BIG Thank you to all of you who have walked with us as we've navigated a particularly dark part of our pathway.
So what's this 'Go Fund Me' all about?
As you know, I'm so, SO, SO Thankful for Papa, Jesus and Holy Spirit being the closest I've ever known through this. Their simply being with me has been everything. And a BIG part of their everything is how they express their Care for me through people around me. And the closest person has been, and is Claire.
Shortly after seeing-off a pair of frozen shoulders, Claire has made me her focus of care. With what's been 2 years of recovering after the year of treatment, Claire has cared for me for 3 years. During this time, care for Mum and Dad has been added, as they dealt with bowel cancer and a number of incidents which caused broken bones. It was also time to make preparations to celebrate Maciek and Annabel's Marriage as well as supporting Sophia's journey to both her graduations. And by the way, Claire's continued working full-time as the children's Pastor at King's. It's been a lot.
This little capture shows Claire is Care with Love.
The thing is, for any of us, Caring needs some helpful boundaries, or as I like to say, some Loving Lines. These Loving Lines help us to care for ourselves so that we have what we need to care for those around us.
This year, both of us, individually, have been having help to see the benefit of Loving Lines, and to be coached in drawing them into our days, weeks, months, Life!
This leads me to why this 'Go Fund Me'.
I'd like to give Claire a gift to say a BIG Thank you for all her Caring. The gift that's come to mind is to help her enjoy more care-for-herself times as she's continuing to see the need for, draw, and live within Loving Lines. And it's a....
...Bicycle!
Yep, a bike, and not just any bike, an e-bike! High Wycombe's famous hills could seem way less daunting on an e-bike.
Claire loves getting about by bike. She'd likely cycle up to HandyCross for a swim. She'd ride to meet friends for a cuppa, she'd head-up to Dad and Mums to catch-up. All the time enjoying some fresh air and exercise too - I think she'd love it!
Sadly, the reason for looking to buy a new bike is that Claire's bike was stolen. Well, not stolen, more taken. We saw them take it too.
Claire's bike was a gift from her Mum .
It was taken a few years ago and from what we know, it's being used in and around London almost every day. Okay, yes it was taken, and a little bit willingly given to Sophia, who uses it to get around London to teach, perform and work in a pub!
So, I wondered if you'd like to be part of this?
That we'd all get to show Claire we Love her dearly, and really appreciate her Caring, and we'd really (for her sakes) like to see her get on her bike!
My Hope is that we'd be able to club-together to buy her the Kensington e-bike made by Volt. It's a classic, baby-blue bike with shopping basket on the front and carrier on the back with big white tyres and the oh-so-helpful electric motor to help get-up our hills.
The Bike usually costs £1,999. Volt have a deal on right now and have reduced the price by £150 to £1,849 and added-in £200 of cycling accessories including a helmet and gloves.
It would be really nice to surprise her with this gift from all of us when we meet for Party in the Park on the 22nd.
See what you think xxx
Love and hugs
