I have to move the studio! Please help! Thanks!

Hi!

My name is Gary Fritz and I'm asking for your help to move my rehearsal / recording studio known as "The G Spot" now located in Brooklyn, NY to a new location. Some of you may already know me as a pioneer of the NYC Graffiti movent, or a teacher & educator, or perhaps as a DJ or soundman and stagehand, but most of you will know me as a musician - more specifically a percussionist working with a variety of artists, styles, and genres on a worldwide basis. My story is out there & documented if you you need to verify who I am and what I'm about. Most folks will tell you that I'm not the type to ask for help unless it's truly needed so the fact that I have to create this fundraiser should let you know that this project is important and I truly hope you'll join us in helping to meet the goal.

Since I was a teenager, my place was always the place where anyone that was into music would come to gather, jam, study and exchange musical ideas. I was in the process of setting up my current space as a studio when on March 12th 2020 the announcement was made that we were going into lockdown and isolation thanks to the Covid Pandemic. Not knowing how long the isolation would be, I was determined to be able to stay creative even if I couldn't gather with others so I stayed up all night and finished wiring up & setting up the studio. So on Friday the 13th of March 2020 - The G Spot was born - on my birthday!

Since then The G Spot has been helping a new wave of musicians & artists from around the world realize their musical projects, dreams and visions in some shape or form. It has been used for auditions and demo recording, rehearsals, live recordings, overdub sessions, mixing & editing, DJ classes, zoom meetings & conferences, online workshops, video and movie shoots, community meetings, birthday celebrations, and teaching music production skills. It has also become the online broadcast home for the Harlem Late Night Jazz community on the social media platform known as Clubhouse.

Your help is needed now because the landlord is selling the building and the studio needs to find a new location to continue being the blessing that it has been for our creative community. Hopefully the fundraising will allow us to find a space large enough to accomodate all the gear and equipment, and give us a short turnaround time from when the studio is dismantled and then reassembled in the new location. Anything you can contribute towards our goal would be greatly appreciated and no amount is too small or too large. Thank you for your time, attention, help and participation with this project.
