My name is John Mputu, and I am a circus artist from Zambia. Since 2016, I have dedicated myself to circus arts, training in acrobatics, hand balancing, and aerial rope with Circus Zambia. Growing up in Chibolya, a community often associated with poverty and crime, circus became more than a passion—it became a path to hope, discipline, and a better future.

For many years, I dreamed of attending a professional circus school and performing on the global stage. Today, that dream is becoming a reality. I have been accepted into the BA (Hons) Circus Arts programme at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, one of the world’s leading circus schools. I was also awarded a 50% Overseas Bursary, reducing my tuition fees and recognizing my potential as an artist.

I am now raising funds to cover the remaining costs of my first year of study. The funds will be used as follows:

• Tuition fees: £9,250

• Student visa: £558

• Immigration Health Surcharge: £776

• Flight from Zambia to London: £1,000

• Accommodation deposit: £1,000

• Living expenses: £13,761

• Study and circus materials: £600

Total fundraising goal: £26,945

All funds raised will be managed through a trusted friend in the Netherlands and used exclusively for my education and living expenses while studying in London.
