Hi, my name is Heather and I am helping to raise money with the Cropwell Bishop Memorial Hall committee towards the building of our new Village Hall in Cropwell Bishop.

I will be doing a "Virtual England Coast to Coast Challenge" covering 267km within 21 days (hopefully less). This equates to 389k steps requiring at least 18.5k steps per day.

For a relatively healthy person this would be a very easy challenge. However, I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS for short). A steady walk with POTS is difficult and causes dizziness, very high heart rate and shortness of breath. I have come to rely on my trusty friend "Ethel" the seated walking stick when out and about walking so I am able to easily take seated breaks. However, I am very confident that with the help of Ethel I will complete the challenge with a day or 2 to spare.
