Hi Everyone, my name is Everett Eng. I am a prospective Eagle Scout with Troop 777 in New York City. After working my way through the ranks, I am pursuing my Eagle Scout project.

My Eagle Scout project is to organize and distribute food to families and individuals living in Betances Houses in the South Bronx.

Betances Houses is a low-income New York City public housing community located in one of the most economically challenged neighborhoods in the City. This housing community had faced decades of federal under-investment and disrepair before New York City initiated a partnership program with Catholic Charities of New York to manage its social services.

Working closely with Catholic Charities, I will purchase food items, enlist volunteers to pack them into bags, and distribute them to residents of Betances Houses. Many residents lack the funds and resources to access complete and balanced nutrition.

I greatly appreciate all monetary donations, regardless of the amount. The dollars you contribute will become meals for residents of Betances Houses and help to improve the quality of life for this at-risk community.
