My name is Olivia Johnson and I am raising money for the unhoused community of Seattle, WA.
COIVD-19 has reminded us of the importance of community. As those of us who are housed remain safe in our homes, we must remember how lucky we are to have access to hygiene at our fingertips. Not everyone has this luxury, including many of our unhoused neighbors. By donating to this campaign, you are showing your commitment to providing these basic necessities to everyone.
What is a hygiene kit?
A hygiene kit contains basic hygiene items that provide our neighbors experiencing homelessness with tools to maintain their health and sense of dignity.
These hygiene kits contain: Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, Soap, Comb, Pair of Socks, Toilet Paper, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, First Aid Kit (Bandages, Antibiotic Ointment, Alcohol Wipes), Body Wipes, Granola Bar, Bottled Water, Note of Encouragement, COVID-19 Postcard.
And they cost only $10 to build.
Once all funds have been raised and items purchased, assembling hygiene kits becomes an impactful hands-on volunteer opportunity to build empathy and advocacy within our housed community.
My goal is $1,000, which is enough to make 100 kits. Please consider donating to this cause. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!
