IVF

When Adam and I met and fell in love, we thought we had all the time in the world to plan our future.  We started to talk about getting married, and wanting to have a family together, but we had so much that we wanted to do first.  It turns out, however,  we don’t have as much time as we thought.

After several medical appointments I learned that if we wait until everything is perfect, it will be too late. My doctors discovered my egg count is very low,  and have insisted we should take immediate steps if we want a chance to have biological children in the future.  Together with my doctors, we decided that IVF is our best chance to have a successful pregnancy on a timeline that works for our lives. 

We have already tried two different protocols; unfortunately my body has not responded to either of them.  We don't want to put a price tag on the chance of having a family of our own  We are eager and willing to put as much money and effort into this process as we can, but we are running out of time and resources. Medications for IVF cost almost $6,000 per cycle, then there is the surgery to retrieve eggs and the cost of freezing any viable embryos. None of these are covered by our insurance. We do not like to ask for help, but the costs have escalated beyond what we can reasonably manage. 

There is a different protocol that my doctor wants to try, and the only way we can do it is by asking for your help. I cannot tell you how much we would appreciate anything that you are willing and able to donate. It would mean the world to us if you can help us build the family we have dreamed of.
