Trelawny - the birthplace of track and field legends like Usain Bolt and Veronica Campbell-Brown, the famous yam parish and one of Jamaica’s sugar cane capital- needs our help.
Hurricane Mellisa has devastated the farming communities of Wire Fence, Stettin, and Albert Town. Many families have lost their homes, livestock and acres of crop, and are struggling to meet their most basic needs.
Why I Care:
I witnessed my neighbors’ homes demolished by the hurricane in a matter of seconds. My family is blessed to provide them food and shelter, but my story is just one among many—others have lost everything and the need for support is immediate and overwhelming.
Who’s Involved:
Martina Richards - born, raised and schooled in Trelawny. A daughter of the soil, using my platform to restore hope to my people.
WF New Testament Church of God and Built to Last Family - trusted local organizations and response groups.
How You Can Help:
Your donation will make a direct and immediate difference. 100% of the funds will be used to:
Southern Trelawny’s farmers have fed Jamaica and the world - from Wonder of the Seas ️ to the Rafting Village and beyond⛵️, from The Cockpit Country ⛰️ to Coronation Market . Thank you for standing with South Trelawny. This is the parish of excellence, resilience and pride.
