Hello, my name is Delfeine Melbourne, and I currently live in Orlando, Florida. I am humbly asking for your support for my family in St. Elizabeth—especially those in Newton, Haughton, Barton, and Maggotty—who have been severely impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

This storm has left a profound and lasting impact on Jamaica. Schools, hospitals, police stations, and countless family homes have been damaged or completely destroyed. Entire communities across St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, St. James, Trelawny, and parts of St. Ann remain without electricity due to widespread power line damage. Many residents are also without access to water, adding even more strain to an already overwhelming situation.

Although the Government and emergency teams are working tirelessly to restore essential services, many families simply cannot afford the basic resources needed to get through this crisis—especially water tanks and drums required to store the trucked-in water.

This is why I am reaching out.
