Hurricane Melissa: Relief Walk for Treasure Beach

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Joshua Swaby, and I’m raising funds to support the community of Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth, Jamaica, affected by Hurricane Melissa.

This cause is deeply personal to me. After Hurricane Beryl in 2024, I visited the island and worked directly with residents of Treasure Beach alongside my friend Jason Henzell, founder of the BREDS Treasure Beach Foundation. Funds from my previous sponsored walk, helped deliver emergency aid and support local recovery efforts.

Now, as Hurricane Melissa impacts the same coastal community, many families are once again facing power outages, flooding and loss of communication.

Funds raised through this campaign will go toward:

  • Emergency supplies for affected families
  • Support for remedial and rebuilding works
  • Provision of utility services

I’ll be hosting a sponsored relief walk in London on 15th November 2025. One year on, the mission continues. To raise awareness and support for Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth and to keep the global Jamaican family connected to those rebuilding at home.

Further details will be announced soon, and updates will be shared through my Instagram page.

Thank you for your continued support.
