“Hurricane Melissa Post Crisis Support – Street People Liberation”
When Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica’s western region, it left behind more than damaged buildings, it left broken spirits and families struggling to start over.
For over 10 years, Street People Liberation has been a youth-led charity dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness and hardship across St. James, Trelawny and other part of Jamaica. Now, our own communities who helped us give back, the ones who helped us served, are in crisis.
Many have lost their homes, belongings, and access to food and clean water. They have lost everything! Our goal is to provide immediate relief such as food, clothing, hygiene kits, bedding, and shelter support to those who need it most.
Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward:
• Supplying care packages and hot meals
• Rebuilding/repairing temporary shelters and homes for displaced families
• Supporting community clean-ups and relief programs
• Helping the elderly and people without a home get access to medical care and essentials
• Provide educational supplies for those who are unable to access schooling.
• Obtain solar power/generators for central points within the community
Your support means the world and can help rebuild the West, one act of kindness at a time. Whether by donating or sharing.
Together, we can restore hope and dignity to those left most vulnerable by Hurricane Melissa.
