In October 2016 I was fortunate to finish my BA degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. During my studies, and senior Capstone, I focused on emerging technologies in using UAS (drones)and GIS mapping in emergency response. Last December I started a non-profit NGO called Emergency Response Drones, Inc to support recovery efforts in aerial photography and custom GIS mapping following natural disasters. I was recently on deck to leave for Texas and assist the Red Cross in damage assessment, however, the response has now shifted towards Flordia and the Carribean. I am trying to leave ASAP to fly/ drive down and assist residents, agencies and other NGOs in recovery efforts. I am hoping to fly into Orlando, and possible further south, as far as the affected islands. The money raised will go directly to insurance, travel and directly helping those in need.
