Hurricane Ian Relief Fund for Gina Karlen

I'm raising money for my mom, Gina, after Hurricane Ian ripped her home from the ground and washed away everything she owned and built for herself.

My mom has lived in her home for over 25 years—it's been a part of so many beautiful memories we've shared together. And now it's gone. She has lost all of her home appliances, and clothes and the home has massive water damage with mold that will need extensive work to be fixed—but she has a beautiful heart and soul that I know will aid her in getting through this.

She has no awareness that I'm doing this—but these funds will be used to help her repair what has been lost and give her a cushion of time to figure out where her next move will be. My heart goes out to all of the families, people, and the community I grew up in which has been affected by this tragedy. I am grateful that she is safe—but the aftermath of this disaster will linger for many people and families. This too shall pass.
