Hurricane Ian Relief for Tina Fontana

I am raising funds for my mom, Tina who has only 5 photo-albums left to her name and just our dog after Hurricane Ian ripped her home from the ground and washed away everything she owned and built for herself. My mom has had a strenuous journey getting on her feet in the last 10 years- this home was everything she had and everything she had constructed for herself after a lifetime of difficulty. I've watched my mom waver in and out of stability throughout her life and for the last 5 years, has surmounted tremendous hurdles to keep herself grounded and find solidity again. It is now gone - she has no place to live, no insurance, she hardly has a dime to her name but she has a beautiful heart and soul that I know will aid her in getting through this. If anything is to be said about my mom, it is that she left her home to find shelter, knowing it would probably collapse, and took with her only photo albums of me and my sister, the only thing that really mattered to her. She has no awareness I am doing this - but these funds will be used to help her repair what has been lost and give her a cushion of time to figure out where her next move will be. My heart goes out to all of the families, people, and the community I grew up in which has been symptomized by the enormous wreckage of this disaster. I am grateful that she is safe - but the aftermath of this will linger for many, many people and many families, including her. Anything helps.
