Hunters for the Hungry

Hunters for the Hungry (HftH) needs your help! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hunters for the Hungry cannot hold fundraisers.  Hunters for the Hungry provides meals of nutritious venison to Virginians who are hungry and living in poverty.  This year, HftH needs your help more than ever as they cannot hold auctions, banquets, and fundraising events.  Without funding, HftH had to suspend accepting deer in mid-March, and is unable to support feeding agencies needing the meat. Please read that again…..  Our neediest families are going hungry because HftH does not have funds to process the venison!  PLEASE consider a gift of cash to support this important program.

 Here’s how you can help.  The goal of the Northern Virginia HftH team is to raise $50,000.  We are asking hunters to make a donation of $25, $50, $100, $250, or more. 

 As hunters, we not only love to be in the woods, but we recognize the need to help those that are not fortunate enough to harvest venison and who appreciate the generosity of the meals your donation will provide.  All of the venison donated by hunters goes directly to families, local shelters, foodbanks and soup kitchens across Virginia, where healthy, hot meals are given to the hungry.  Virginia’s hunters have now provided 7.2 million pounds of venison which has allowed HftH to provide over 28.8 million servings of venison since Hunters for the Hungry was founded in 1991. What a testament to the generosity of Virginia’s hunters!
