I want to thank everyone who helped get the word out about the relief effort. We’ve had a great turnout so far and were able to gather volunteers from all over central Texas. We’re going to continue keeping equipment busy where we can and deploying groups to assist authorities when they need us.

So far we have made a presence with both the sheriffs and fire departments and worked with search and recovery teams in successful efforts. We have made a large impact on the grounds at Camp La Junta and will continute to do so as well as deploy teams to support authorities and other locations in need.

I also want to thank those who have offered financial donations toward the effort. I have held off on receiving any until better understanding the costs involved.

After a few days one the ground, It’s been inspiring to witness the costs that these groups and individuals have put forth, and plan to continue putting forth, out of the kindness of their hearts. They are providing meals and supplies, personal equipment , long term rental equipment, burning through fuel and consumables, offering fully employed work forces, tools and resources, and forgoing the day-jobs that earn them a living. All, with a smile on their face, persistent attitude, and caring demeanor.

Not a single person has mentioned reimbursement or financial burden because that’s not what volunteering is. These are volunteers to their core

That being said, I undertand there are many who would like to do what they can by donating to these volunteers and supporting their efforts.

This is not a request for funds. This is an available option to support direct efforts.
