Hunger Free Holidays with Hidden Harvest

With the higher food costs at the grocery store, we are all feeling the pinch in putting food on the table - but for our neighbors in need, these costs not only reduce the amount of food they can provide to their family, but also the quality of food.

Hidden Harvest strives to alleviate hunger and end food waste in the Great Lakes Bay Region by providing a safe and coordinated system of rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to feed people in need.

The most common food Hidden Harvest rescues and distributes is fresh produce - ensuring not just that bellies are full, but also that the health of our communities is nourished.

Every dollar donated to Hidden Harvest has a return of $15 worth of food shared out to our recipient agencies. Last year, we rescued and distributed 3,572,035 pounds of food - which saved over $10M for the area shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries, youth and senior programs we serve.
