URGENT NEED!!!!!

We urgently need your help to get through the last quarter of this year so that we can continue providing this essential service to our most vulnerable neighbors.

My name is Kari, and I serve as the Executive Director of the Humboldt Community Soup Kitchen Inc. Since 2015, our mission has been simple but vital: to ensure no one in our community goes hungry.

Each month, we provide approximately 500 meals to families and individuals across Humboldt and the surrounding area. On any given week, between 125–130 people rely on us. Sadly, like many of those we serve, we are finding there are more days than there are dollars.

We are not supported by government funding. Each year we apply for limited grants and corporate programs connected to food insecurity, and we host local fundraisers to help cover costs. But this year, rising food prices, increased living costs, and greater demand have left us facing the most difficult financial situation we’ve experienced in my six years with the Soup Kitchen.

The reality is heartbreaking: more people are coming through our doors, while the resources to meet their needs are shrinking.

Every single gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your donation goes directly to putting nourishing meals on tables and hope in the hearts of those who need it most.
