We are a group of sisters, sisters-in-law and friends who care, donate our time, and want to make a small difference during this time of crisis. We started with whatever material we have and purchased whatever we could as well as reaching out for donations of elastics and fabrics from friends and family to sew masks for our local hospitals and essential workers. We’ve made donations directly to our town hall, local nurses from hospitals such as Hackensacks, Holy Name Medical Center, as well as friends who are physicians and nurses in NYC and California.
We were also asked to make gowns and cover all to our first responders. As we see the growing need for PPE, we would like to make and/or purchase not only masks, but also hospital gowns, face shields, disinfecting wipes and spray, etc. but our resources are limited. Therefore, we are setting up this campaign to reach out and call for your action to donate. Please donate whatever you can, every little bit helps. There are many ways you can donate, whether materials, supplies, or monetary; or if you are in our local area and can sew, we need your help; or if you have 3D printers, there are files that you can use to print face shields and face mask tension release band to make it more comfortable to wear masks for long period of time. As mentioned, all the proceed from this campaign will go to ordering more supplies for handmade masks, purchasing of protective gears such as gowns, face shields, and supplies such as gloves, disinfecting wipes and spray. etc. Let's help protecting those front liners as they are risking their health, their lives caring for the sick ones and protecting us from getting the virus. We don't even want to imaging what would happen if they were not there fighting this battle.
This is an emergency and we all have to step up and do the best we can. We are open to any feedback and suggestions. We want to thank you for your generosity and may this Pandemic will be all behind us very soon!
