WE'RE RAISING £1,250.00/TRIP TO THE HDOP (HUMANITARIAN DROP OFF POINT) TO PROVIDE 'HUMANITARIAN AID 4 UKRAINE'.

EVERYTHING YOU DONATE WILL BE GIVEN TO THE UKRAINIANS EACH TIME ‘HUMANITARIAN AID 4 UKRAINE’ SETS OFF TO LVIV.

YOUR DONATION WILL HELP ME, AND MY TEAM, ACHIEVE OUR TARGETS SO PLEASE DONATE GENEROUSLY.

My name is Mikey Stewart-Richardson and I have volunteered ever since the war began in 2022 for Humanitarian Aid Operations and I've been to places such as Lviv, Kyiv, Chernahiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa.

I, and my team, now specialise by collecting 'Humanitarian Aid' in GB and bringing out to Lviv and the surrounding areas. The Humanitarian Aid that we collect are simple things like torches, batteries, candles, portable outdoor 'camping gas' stoves, woolly hats, warm clothes, gloves, socks, jumpers, jerseys, gilets and anything you can think of that will make a difference to the Ukrainians. We also collect colouring books and pencils for the children in Ukraine.

We're asking you to DONATE as much as possible towards our target of £1,250 per trip - once we've got c.£1,100 'in the kitty' we'll begin to book our ticket(s) across the channel and into France. We then have the long journey into Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland and eventually into Ukraine. The £1,250 covers the cost of my Volvo for the 10 days it's doing the essential job of getting Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine (D, O & L, insurance, the Channel Crossing, accommodation, food and any other costs we incur along to way). The 'round trip' from Winchcombe to Lviv is 2644 miles with the 'round trip' to the HDOP (Humanitarian Drop Off Point) being 284 miles.

On the way to Lviv is a lady called Fiona Elverfeldt whom I've known ever since I moved to Germany in the 1990’s. She is married to Fides and they have 2 teenage girls and she has been totally ‘anti’ Putin’s war from the outset. She has taken in a Georgian family who now live in 1 of her flats in the ‘big’ house. They are both fully employed by Fi with the wife being a superb cook and the husband being a wine grower and a gardener. It’s a marvellous ‘pit stop’ and I and my friends are made fantastically welcome by them all when we stop on the way to Lviv.

At the HDOP there is a lady called Anya Baltarovych - Anya is an unbelievable young woman who I met in February 2023 when I, and others, took some aide to her house, about 2 hours East of Lviv. Her story started 1 year before that when her husband was called up to fight against Putin and, at first, she was completely lost but then, as time wore on she couldn't help but notice how the people in her region desperately needed Humanitarian Aide and support and so she started to help by organising jumble sales, with everything given finding its way to the local people.

The Ukrainians are an amazing people with their optimism, their marvellous resilience and the fact that they always smile and never complain... they are kind and tough and their courage is deeply embedded in their DNA - I’m planning to be there till Ukraine has finally got all its territory back and defeated Putin. This won’t happen overnight, that’s obvious, but I believe, with every sinew in my body, that the Ukrainians will win this ghastly war that they are involved in.

REMEMBER, EVERYTHING YOU DONATE WILL BE GIVEN TO THE UKRAINIANS EACH TIME THAT ‘HUMANITARIAN AID 4 UKRAINE’ SETS OFF TO LVIV.

Thank you.
