My name is Boris Glikin, I have been working with local volunteers to make the first trip to Lviv in Ukraine, delivering aid and establishing vital contacts. As a result, local people have donated humanitarian aid, transport (drivers, fuel and vans), regional medical expertise, money and time. This has made the first trip possible and successful.
More of Hull's local people and businesses who wanted to help have gotten together under our banner to deliver humanitarian aid directly to key locations within Ukraine. This is why we have setup this gofundme page. We have been working closely with the leadership team at St. Luke's Hospital in Lviv to identify urgently needed key equipment and deliver it directly to the clinicians on the front line. This hospital is the largest burn unit in western Ukraine where the majority of refugees are located.
Their caseload and equipment requirements have risen drastically due to the war and the ongoing infrastructure collapse (Refugees cooking on makeshift stoves and using dangerous gas canisters). On our first trip, we brought generators and walky-talkies for clinicians (The mobile reception is terrible and there are constant power cuts).
Using ex-military volunteers and those with extensive driving experience and Ukrainian language, we are establishing a continuous bridge to deliver vital supplies as demand dictates to crucial locations within Ukraine.
Please make future trips possible as people need our support and want to see friendly faces in their hour of need.
