❤️➡️ Hugs of Argyll offers psycho-social, emotional, and physical benefits to a variety of people by using our horses and ponies. This approach is particularly useful when working with vulnerable groups of children and adults, including those with a mental or physical disability, young or elderly people.
❤️ Ponies are sentient beings with special emotional intelligence that can teach us a lot about ourselves. They tend to mirror humans, which can bring a variety of benefits. We have ponies that are particularly good for indoor locations such as care homes and hospitals, and others that can be used to teach children, teenagers and adults basic equine skills in stable management and in-hand hacking giving them a real hands on approach.
We fully believe that we can raise awareness and tackle mental health, one Huggy Hug at a time!
Unfortunately, on Sunday, January 28th, our beloved stable block was devastated by the powerful storms. The stables are crucial to our work, providing a space for one-on-one sessions and ensuring Huggy is well-prepared and sheltered for visits to care homes and hospitals. The loss of these facilities has made our job incredibly challenging, almost to the point of being impossible. If it wasn’t for our amazing clients being so understanding, we would have had to put the entire thing to a stop
those of you who know me, know how hard this is for me to seek help. I’m not one for ever asking for help but I’ve been reminded it not about me but about the people we are truly helping!
Please help us raise money to build a new stable block and continue the much needed work we are doing xx
