El lunes 13 de junio de 2022 mi cuñado Hugo Mancilla tuvo un derrame cerebral hemorrágico (sangrado en el cerebro debido a la ruptura de un vaso sanguíneo). Uno de sus hijos lo encontró en la ducha convulsionando y sin responder. Este accidente cerebrovascular lo ha dejado con impedimentos del habla y físicos en el lado izquierdo de su cuerpo. Ahora necesita ayuda para vestirse, bañarse y muchas otras habilidades básicas para la vida diaria.
Hugo es un viudo de 47 años y padre de 5 niños pequeños. El accidente cerebrovascular lo ha dejado en la necesidad de una terapia extensa y sin poder trabajar por un período indeterminado. Será trasladado del hospital a un centro de rehabilitación donde necesitará una rehabilitación extensa.
Antes del derrame, Hugo tenía un trabajo exitoso, era financieramente estable, activo e independiente. Este es un evento que le cambia la vida y tiene un camino largo y difícil por delante con muchas incertidumbres. Estoy ayudando a recaudar dinero para ayudar con su atención médica continua, apoyo terapéutico y gastos domésticos mientras permanece hospitalizado. On Monday, June 13, 2022 my brother-in-law Hugo Mańcilla had a hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding into the brain due to a ruptured blood vessel). One of his sons found him in the shower convulsing and non-responsive. This stroke has left him with speech impairments and physical impairments on the left side of his body. He now needs help getting dressed, bathing, and many other daily basic living skills.
Hugo is a 47-year-old widower and father of 5 young children. The stroke has left him in need of extensive therapy and unable to work for an indeterminate period. He will transfer from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility were he will need extensive rehab.
Before the stroke, Hugo had a successful job, he was financially stable, active, and independent. This is a life changing event for him and he has a long, hard road ahead with lots of uncertainties. I am helping raise money to assist with his ongoing medical care, therapy support, and household expenses while he remains hospitalized. Anything you can help with will be greatly appreciated.
