Hug in a Bag 2023-24

Hug in a Bag started in 2019 - having experienced a traumatic, lengthy stay in hospital with premature twins, I wanted to do something positive to support patients and their families in similar circumstances. A Hug in a Bag is a small care package designed to offer comfort and practical support in their hour of need. They contain a range of items such as toiletries, snacks, activities and games depending on the age and needs of the recipient. So far we have donated almost 3,000 packaged which have been distributed to elderly care, critical care, children’s wards, A&E, and neonatal intrusive care. We would love to continue to grow the project and welcome your support in doing this.

Working alongside me, the students of Blythe Bridge High School are committed to supporting the wonderful UHNM Charity in their work improving patient comfort and care, and Hug in a Bag is, we feel, a fantastic way to achieve this. All money raised goes directly into purchasing items for our care packs.
