Hugh James' Fitness for February in support of Meso UK

The Asbestos team at Hugh James are getting involved with Fitness February in support of Mesothelioma UK!

Mesothelioma UK is a charity that supports those affected by mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is an aggressive form of cancer affecting the lining of the internal organs, and is almost exclusively linked to asbestos exposure. Mesothelioma has a latency period of around 20 - 50 years, which means that those diagnosed were exposed to asbestos dust much earlier in their lives, and in a lot of cases during the course of their employment.

Mesothelioma UK is dedicated to supporting mesothelioma patients and their families across the UK through a network of clinical nurse specialists. They carry out vital work for our clients and it is a charity close to our hearts.

On Thursday 20th February, the Cardiff team will be partaking in a 20km walk from our office to Penarth and back to raise money for Mesothelioma UK. We would be most grateful for any donations to support such a great charity.

On Thursday 27 February, the London asbestos team will be taking part in a 10 mile walk from the city of London along the river to the London docks where many people were exposed to asbestos. The team are raising money for Mesothelioma UK and all the fantastic work they do to support those diagnosed with mesothelioma
