Hudnell Adoption Fund

The Hudnell and Gregorio families are happy to join Noah and Bethany in announcing that they’ll soon be adopting a baby boy! And now we’re all humbly asking for your generosity to help make this happen with as little worry and stress as possible for the parents-to-be.

For those of you who know Noah and Bethany, you probably also know that they’ve had dreams of parenthood since they were married in 2010. Noah, a maintenance engineer at Rochester General Hospital, and Bethany, a nurse at the same hospital, have been preparing their home, their relationships with each other and with God, and their careers in anticipation of the day when they’d start a family. They have so much love to give, and they’ve both always wanted a big family to share that love with.

But after a few years of trying, Noah and Bethany learned that it would be difficult for them to have biological children. As hard as that was to hear, it didn’t in any way defeat them. Noah and Bethany are no strangers to alternative family-building. Tony and Pam Gregorio adopted Bethany’s sister, Song, in 1978, and they adopted her brother, Joey, just a few short years later. Tony and Pam also welcomed over 200 of Bethany’s foster sisters into their home over the course of about 12 years. And so Noah and Bethany already knew that family isn’t DNA. Family is the people who you love - the people who you can’t live without.

Armed with those experiences, and after a lot of thought and prayer, Noah and Bethany realized that adoption was actually the perfect option for them all along, and they got busy on starting their adoption story right away. They began with finding an agency that was right for them - a crucial first step in ensuring that everyone’s needs are met. Since then, they’ve been meeting with agency employees, answering questions, filing paperwork, participating in interviews, hosting home studies, and taking care of all sorts of other items to prepare. A few months ago, they were presented with a match and they instantly knew it was God’s hand working in their lives. And the biological parents knew it, too. Noah and Bethany were selected after a long and thoughtful conversation with the birth parents. And they’re so ecstatic to finally be welcoming their son, Ezra, into their lives in June 2020!

Noah and Bethany have trusted in God and His plan for them throughout this entire process and, incredibly, they are almost halfway to their original goal of $60,000 but there’s so much more to go (agency fees, legal fees, travel costs, etc.) in order to finalize the adoption and make their dream of parenthood come to life.

So let’s all open our hearts and bless Noah and Bethany!
