January 1, 2018 this building caught fire and dispite the efforts of multiple fire departments within 30 minutes the building was engulfed in flames and could not be saved. In just under 2 hours the building was gone.
Nothing left but ashes and metal from appliances and chairs. Everything is gone.
This building is the only public building in the community and a special place for all.
Estimates and budgets are being assembled and volunteers from the community are already stepping up. With the small amount of insurance coverage we had the $60,000.00 we need in donations will allow us to build a nice steel structure and finished in a way that the community will be very proud of.
We need to start collecting donations now to keep the process moving.
While the community is saddened by the loss of the building representing the history, memories and relationships it created, the reciept of these donations quickly, will demonstrate to the community the support they have to meet this goal and make this building a reality.
This small community would like to thank you in advance for your support in establishing another place to continue creating these memories and relationships.
