In one corner of Gaza, beneath the weight of destruction and hardship, a small family struggles every day to hold on to life despite everything they have lost.

Their home is gone. The walls that once protected their dreams no longer exist. All that remains is a fragile tent standing against the wind, the cold, and the fear.

The father, Shadi, 32 years old, once dreamed of giving his family a simple and peaceful life.

The mother, Salma, 30 years old, hides her tears every day so her children will not see the pain she carries inside.

Their two children,

Omar, 5 years old,

and Naseem, 7 years old,

have learned the meaning of hunger, thirst, fear, and insecurity far too early in life — instead of learning through toys, schoolbooks, and laughter.

Inside the tent, there is no real comfort.

Insects crawl between the blankets, and rats come close to the little food the family has left.

During winter, rainwater leaks into the place where the children sleep, and every night fear returns with every nearby sound.

There is no stable electricity, no constant access to clean water, and no place where they truly feel safe.

Yet despite everything, Salma still wakes her children every morning and tells them that better days will come.

And Shadi continues fighting against despair, even after losing his home and the basic necessities of life.

This family is not asking for luxury.

They are asking for the simplest human needs:

food to ease their hunger,

clothes to keep the children warm,

a safe place to live,

and support for Omar and Naseem’s education and healthcare so they can have a chance at a normal future.

Today, they are in urgent need of a caravan to replace the tent — a small shelter that can protect them from the harsh conditions and constant fear surrounding them amid the destruction.

The family also wishes to express their deepest gratitude:

“Thank you to everyone who supported us before. Because of your donations, we were able to buy clothes for our children and pay their school fees. Your kindness brought hope back into our hearts.”

But their journey is far from over, and their needs have become more urgent than ever.
