Hello....We are a group of eleven siblings that founded the Nilda Ayerve D. Foundation in memory of our mother whom passed away more than twenty years ago. Our mission and vision are to continue with our mother’s legacy – to bring a smile to the less fortunate kids. These kids live under extreme poverty in Peru. The NAD Foundation currently focuses on helping children living in the surroundings of Tambobamba – a town located in the south of Peru.

 

Our annual Chocolatada Navideña, which is to serve hot chocolate and fruitcake during Christmas (a Peruvian tradition), started in 2014. This year, with the money we raise, we are hoping to provide school supplies and/or warm clothing in addition to our yearly toys and hot chocolate. 

 

We are a very small Foundation; family oriented and run by the family. We believe that Christmas is a season to share and give. Our mother always thought us that the best gift to receive is to see someone smile by your gift. Many of these children have never received a toy for Christmas or even on their birthdays. They live under extreme poverty that in most cases, they do not have enough food on the table. We try to give them at least something little that can bring them joy and happiness.
