Hi everyone,

Robert Hofer is a 55 year old hardworking husband and loving father to Danielle, Alexis, Alishia, Briana & Caleb. Also stepdad to Dylan, Cody & Tyler. Along with 13 grandkids.

On August 19, 2022 Rob went into the doctor because of back pain only to find out on August 22, 2022 he had a 9cm tumor on one of his kidneys and grew to 13cm before surgery. About a month later he was scheduled for surgery to have it removed. During surgery they had to remove one kidney, part of his pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, part of his stomach and part of his diaphragm. When they removed his tumor it grew to be 15cm.

On December 12, 2022 Rob went in for a follow up PET Scan and blood work. Rob was told his cancer has now spread to his lungs and his hip bone. The doctors confirmed Rob is dealing with a very aggressive bladder cancer and was told that it was non-curable. His next step is chemo and immunotherapy. Even though the doctor said it won’t stop it we’re praying to slow it down. Rob had a follow up CT Scan and the cancer has grown in his abdomen. On January 17th Rob had an MRI scan that showed 3 spots now on his brain. As of January 22nd Rob has completed 4 rounds of chemo. On Monday, January 23, 2023 Rob meets with a doctor to start radiation.
