Alcohol and Drug Addiction Fundraiser

I hope you will take a moment to read my story, especially if you have known anyone who has struggled from some type of addiction ...

 

My name is Braydon and I am a senior in high school. I was the 2021 Indiana State Chess Champion. I will be hosting a chess event in my community to raise money for a charity close to my heart. On October 30th, I will be playing chess against 20 players at the same time to raise money for a charity that helps battle substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction.

 

The reason that I picked this charity is because I have watched people in my own life torn apart by substance abuse as victims of the vicious circle of recovery and relapse.

 

These experiences have inspired me to follow a career in medicine. I also have work hundreds of hours as a community volunteer, as I hope to continue a life of helping others.

 

Now I am asking for your help.
