Hi, this is Amy,Jaclyn and Shannon with Rockingham County help for Homeless. We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that assists individuals and families in Rockingham County. We have been in existence for almost 20 years. The homeless population in Rockingham County continues to grow at an amazing pace. We are primarily funded through 2 HUD grants but in addition we are required to match 25% of those funds. We are experiencing a rather large shortfall of private donations, so we find ourselves in desperate need of help from the community. Our financial need at present is $60,000 so we can meet the required match for our HUD grants. Without this match from RCHH,HUD will restrict and possibly eliminate funding to RCHH. We operate 2 housing programs. We assist with rental assistance ,utility assistance, case management, medical assistance, transportation, food, daycare, school supplies,etc. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate here in Rockingham County, especially in the lives of these children.
