Hello Everyone!
Trusting that all is well with you and blessings upon you and your loved ones!
Good things are happening and I just HAVE to share it all with you!
Finally, an apartment in Templeton, California has opened up for us after 2 years of waiting!!! It is brand new and has a "town house" feel to it.. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit and we are on the top floor.. The great room has big picture windows and a glass door that opens to a large balcony overlooking an empty field with trees outlining a small creek bed. The 101 highway is partially seen in the foreground and there are hills beyond.
I have been blessed with a successful Massage Therapy career and our new place is the right fit to be able to provide for my darling daughters as they - one by one- fly the coup!
(Ysabel - a junior, Rayvin - a freshman, and Serenity in 7th grade).
Moving expenses, a security deposit, tires for the car as well as repairs and pending bills have put me behind.
I am also hit with one and a half months or rent due December 5th.
After talking to and praying with my dear friends, Odie and Susan Carter, Odie exclaimed, "Do we need to open up a fundraising site for Joanna?"
So, instead of fretting and becoming concerned that I might loose the place unless I come up with funds quickly on my own, it dawned on me -
I should reach out for some help.
I figure that if a bunch of friends pitch in a little, it will help us out a whole lot to be able start this new beginning without being in the hole.
I am humbly asking if you will partner with me by pitching in a little to our:
House Warming Fund : $2000 +
Be the first to donate and Please share this with your friends!!!
Any amount you are able to give will be welcomed and immensely appreciated.
I am Thanking You All ahead of time and I am Grateful for your support and prayers. I believe that alone you can do so little, but with many, you can do so much!
Sharing my financial situation is not an easy thing to do, however, I am choosing to be vulnerable publicly which keeps me in check and motivates me to bless others as I have been blessed. Once I get ahead, I will be able to start the monthly payments towards braces for the girls. I will also be able to start saving up to buy a used car for Ysa. Fortunately, there is a community college in our area called Cuesta that gives 2 years of school free of charge for local students. With the girls high academics, sports abilities and our financial situation, the girls are in a good position for scholarships and financial aid if they want to transfer to a University. I am currently working with Alleviate Tax to help with the $30,000 tax debt I was left to pay half of as a result of the divorce.
Everything I do, I do for my girls. My goal in these last 4 years on my own has been to keep them in a secure, stable environment that enables them to be successful in their future.
God has been faithful and he has been reminding me that we are All here for each other and No One is alone!
With a heart full of gratitude,
Joanna
A Big shout out of Thanks to Odie and Susan Carter for their hospitality while we were waiting. Laura Marshall, I couldn't have done it without you - you were my right hand woman through it all. Thank you for your hard-work and self-sacrificial time! Thanks to Lynda Priebe, Julie Corippo, and Carrie Asi for your help with packing. Thanks to Travis Messer for pitching in and Paula Fabian, thank you for recommending David and his movers and for pitching in with the cost. Thanks to some help from the girls' dad as well!
