My nephews have had an incredibly rocky childhood and haven’t had ever a stable home. They are 6, 7, and 8 years old, their mother hasn’t seen them in over 2 years. Six months ago, their dad was aLao unable to care for them and they moved in with my 69 year-old parents in law. My parents in law have very little money, my father in law drives Uber every week to make extra money.

They live in a small 2 bedroom apartment, all 3 boys share one bedroom. There is no space for them to play, They were sleeping on a blow-up mattress but recently we got them individual beds! Their apartment manager doesn’t allow them to play in the small courtyard so the boys are stuck inside all day. It’s not a very safe neighborhood so they can’t ride their bikes around either.

Me and my husband have saved up around $6,000 already to put on a down payment of a house for them. We want to get them a house with a yard in a relatively safe neighborhood with a park so they could have space to play and have a permanent home for once in their life. We also want to move them closer to us (they’re over an hour away) so we can help out more. I take them out as much as I can, but with the long drive, it’s not as much as I’d like to. I have called a couple of mortgage companies and the bare minimum we’d need for the house (around $200,000) is around $20,000 to put a down payment on. I will continue trying to earn more money for this goal and will adjust the GoFundMe goal whenever I get my own earnings!
