Our Family Lost Everything in a House Fire

I honestly never thought I would be in a position where I would have to write something like this or ask people for help, but right now I don’t know what else to do.

In the early hours of the morning, our neighbour’s house caught fire and the fire spread to our home. My partner, our three children, our animals and I were incredibly lucky to get out safely, but we walked away with basically the clothes on our backs.

Our home and almost everything inside it has been destroyed.

Our beds, clothes, furniture, appliances, the kids’ belongings and toys, our everyday essentials and so many sentimental things we can never replace are gone.

As if losing our home wasn’t enough, we have since had someone break into the property and steal some of the belongings we had managed to save. I genuinely don’t have the words for how heartbreaking and overwhelming the last few days have been.Right now our biggest priority is finding somewhere safe for our children to stay and somehow beginning to rebuild our lives.

I hate asking for help and I never imagined I would need to, but we genuinely need our community right now.

Any money raised will go towards temporary accommodation, clothing, food, bedding, furniture, household essentials, things for our children and helping us eventually rebuild some sort of normal life again.
