My name is Tamryn Benjamin. We are a military family currently stationed in Germany. During this time, and our Government shutting down, it has caused many families to be fearful of when they will be paid. Many of these families have young children and use programs such as SNAP and WIC. With the unknowingness of what is ahead, myself and another spouse got together and figured out a way to help our military community. We did this by starting a spouse run, all volunteer based organization called Hot Pots. We take orders of the families who have reached out, and buy them baby food, formula, toys, baby items, and make them freezer safe meals and fresh meals that they can use to feed them and their children. We also bake birthday cakes when we are told there will be a birthday in that month, get small gifts, and decorations. No child should feel like they can't be celebrated because of hard times. Because we are a military spouse run organization, we also are having a hard time keeping it up due to us not being paid as well. Any donations you see fit to donating will be so greatly appreciated.
