Hot Food for Refugees in Belgrade

Dear friends and family,
For the past month, I have been in Belgrade, Serbia. The refugee crisis has hit Belgrade hard, and thousands of migrating people are stuck here, unable to continue onward due to closed borders. Yet they are also unable to return to their home country for fear of being persecuted or killed. Many people are living in abandoned buildings, battling the winter without heating, proper sanitation, or adequate clothing, and living hidden in plain sight.
One of the few measures of aid that exists here is a daily hot meal distribution from a small team of independent volunteers. I'm helping with this effort, which serves 1,000+ meals daily. As the winter progresses, many people are beginning to experience frostbite and hypothermia, and a hot meal could become the deciding factor between life or death.
Your donations will go directly to purchasing ingredients used by myself and others to make meals for emergency relief. One hot meal costs 25 cents. What may be a small sum to you could help sustain lives. Thanks so much for the help; we couldn't do it without you!
