Hospitals in Tanzania
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Joanna Ryan and Muireann Treacy, we are travelling to Arusha, Tanzania, to give a helping hand in the local hospital.
Our goal is to witness what healthcare looks like in another part of the world, and to be present—to listen to patients’ stories, to learn from the healthcare workers on the ground, and to understand the systems and innovations they’ve created despite limited resources. We believe there's so much wisdom in the ways communities care for each other, and we want to carry those lessons with us in whatever healthcare path we pursue in the future.
Tanzania, with its vibrant culture and beautiful spirit, also faces real challenges when it comes to healthcare access, particularly in rural communities. The idea of being able to contribute—however small our role might be—to alleviating some of those challenges resonates deeply with us. We don't see this opportunity as a way to "give back" in a traditional sense, but rather as a shared exchange: we hope to offer support, compassion, and a willing pair of hands, and in return, we know we will gain perspective, resilience, and an education that no classroom could ever provide.
Please join us in making a difference, any donation will help make a direct impact on the people of Arusha.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause.
