John Peña was known as Juan, or Johnny, to most, a "Gentle Giant" to many and "Tiger" to his wife. His love for life, a good party, and good music is what he'll be remembered for.

He was also a master's level clinical social worker and worked with the most vulnerable in our society. His love for his family was as big as his heart, and the hole he has left in our lives is immense.

As Sol, Izzy and Alicia begin their grief journey, the road ahead will be filled with emotional and financial challenges. Many of you have been wanting to do something for them and have lovingly communicated this desire to help. Knowing many families who have gone through this, I know that those needs will reveal themselves in the next few weeks, months, and even years.

I am setting up this GoFundMe page to help ease some of the burdens they now face. Your love and generosity will help them focus on healing and honoring John's memory.
