Hope-in-a-suitcase

Hope-In-A-Suitcase - This is something I am working on as part of my cadet program. This initiative was created for kids in dire need of support. Sadly some kids in our community are removed from their homes often with no warning due to safety concerns. With no notice, these kids often resort to using garbage bags to carry what little if anything they have to take with them. These kids, often terrified, have to deal with a new home or institution and feel even more worthless presenting with a garbage bag of belongings.

So how can we help?

We will aim to provide these children who are vulnerable and going into foster care with a suitcase full of items they can call their own and feel a sense of hope that someone is looking out for them in this dark time of their life. I would like to send off a minimum of 12 completed suitcases.

So, you want to help?

Here's how and it is easy! I hope you can help with the purchase of a suitcase - $59, or whatever you are willing to contribute. I will work with my youth division to provide the contents for each of the suitcases, however, the remaining funds raised in this fundraiser will also be directed towards purchasing suitcase contents such as clothing, toiletries and toys.
