Hope WINS (what I need to succeed)

My name is Linsey McDanel and I am the founder Hope WINS (what I need to succeed) Corporation. I am a wife, a mom, and a teacher. I’ve been married for 20 years, a mama for 17 years and teaching 21 years for FSD. Our adopted children came with many unique challenges surrounding their trauma, which sent me on quite a mission to learn everything I could about trauma and how it affects us. I am a Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner and I have trained many families and teachers in trauma informed practices. I am very passionate about equipping the family unit with skills for relationship as relationship is what humans are wired for. There isn’t anyone out there who hasn’t suffered trauma and trauma has a very negative impact on relationship.

This is where Hope WINS was “born.” Our mission is to equip and educate families on how to unravel the hopelessness of trauma. Hope WINS plans to do just this through working with families on a deep level, providing trauma training, parent education and coaching, genuine friendship, and experiences for families and children. To do this, we are raising funds to provide educational materials and coaching for these families, provide scholarships for students to attend camp and families to have experiences together that they may otherwise not have. A "go fund me" has been suggested many times, however it is difficult for me to ask for funds in this way. Through much prayer and deliberation we have decided it's the best next step for Hope WINS and the families we serve.
