In light of COVID-19 and its impact on our community, this campaign is intended to provide hope and unity while supporting small businesses (particularly local restaurants) with donations that will be spent to provide meals for families in need in Central PA. (Please follow the campaign at PA Hope Tree Facebook Page )
As the owners of a local small landscaping and holiday lighting company, our hearts went out to fellow business owners who are devastated by the impact of COVID-19.
We had to do something and decided to put our skills to use to decorate the tree in Harrisburg to provide light and hope to our community.
The lights were graciously donated by TwinklyPro of Camp Hill and the services by our lighting division Christmas Decor of Harrisburg.
This campaign is meant to help sustain local restaurants and their team members during the mandatory shut downs.
Funds will not be outright donated to restaurants, but used to provide business to purchase meals or food for families in need. All the proceeds raised (less GoFundMe.com processing fees) will be used on meals.
Businesses can submit themselves as a recipient and families can let us know they need help by emailing [email redacted]
NOTE: Our initial goal was to run this campaign through a local non-profit organization, but several of our options fell through. If a non-profit organization sees this and would like to manage the donations and distributions of funds, that is our preference, please reach out.
