Hope and East Hope is the most beautiful place on the planet! Well, we think so anyway. And within that beauty is also an incredible community. That community is growing and has more children than it has had in a long time. So let's embrace that and give our children a great place to play where they are near adult supervision and have the chance to be kids, expand their imagination and develop friendships--all while being safe!
The area around the monument on Wellington Place, just across from the Post Office and Davis Grocery, has been allocated to be a beautiful green park for the community to enjoy. THIS fundraiser is to add a play structure and play area over on the fenced side of the park so that there is a central place for all the children of Hope and East Hope to have a great place to play. The structure is designed for ages 5-12, but can also be used for younger and older kids, which is what makes it unique to the community center Pre-School play structure, which is designed for under age 5. We are also going to be using rubber mulch (no splinters!), and with the grocery store across the street, parents can sit out on the deck and watch their kids play.
It's a win-win for the whole community!
The $10,000 will be allocated for the municipality-approved, safe, commercial play structure: https://www.aaastateofplay.com/lake-powell-play-system/
The Rubber Mulch (which is $7 per cubic yard).
Moving the fence back a few feet and removing overgrown landscaping.
And if there is enough left over, an additional swing set as well.
In addition to this gofundme page, we are also having a fund-raising Bake Sale at Davis Grocery on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Any and all volunteers are wanted!
(All proceeds are being deposited in an East Hope City account created solely for this fundraiser/park).
Thanks to everyone that makes living in Hope so amazing!
