HOPE IS THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG

On February 6, 2022, Girls With Sole founder and CEO, Liz Ferro, will run 26.2 miles on the most inhospitable continent on the planet. The Antartica Marathon presents a truly formidable challenge with an average windchill temperature of -20C, an altitude of 700 meters, and winds that can blow from the Pole at a steady 10-25 knots. (COVID-19 is the reason the race has been deferred to 2022.) :-) 

The girls we serve face neglect, violence, foster care, human trafficking, and many other forms of trauma and abuse. At Girls With Sole, we provide the tools needed to recognize the power and potential they all possess beneath the surface.

Through our award-winning programs, we give girls the opportunity to experience what life can be like with empowerment and forward momentum that can’t be stopped!
Equipped with newfound hope, confidence and inner strength, the girls are able to reach down deep, and overcome obstacles they once deemed daunting and impossible.
