Hope in Every Package: Supporting NICU Families

Hi, my name is Bee Vargas and I’m the proud mom of a NICU warrior, my son Milo. Born with a Giant Omphalocele, Milo spent 260 days in the NICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital, enduring five surgeries and countless procedures. It was the most challenging journey of my life, but also one of incredible strength and resilience.

From this experience, I created A Brave Start, a community-driven initiative to support families navigating the NICU journey. Our first project is ‘Hope in Every Package’, where we aim to assemble and deliver 100 care packages for NICU families. Each package will include practical items, comfort essentials, and heartfelt support to remind families they are not alone.

I’m asking for your help to raise $5,000 to bring this vision to life. Each $30 donation funds one care package.
