I’m proud to be participating in a companywide GoFundMe internal challenge, alongside teammates across GoFundMe, to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
This challenge is about coming together as a workplace community to rally around a cause that touches so many of our lives—often more personally than we realize. Across teams and departments, we’re raising funds, sharing this campaign, and encouraging one another to turn our values into meaningful action.
My name is Guissu Baier, and this cause is deeply personal to me. Like many people, I’ve seen firsthand how mental health struggles can affect individuals and families, and how powerful it can be when someone feels supported rather than alone. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting AFSP.
AFSP is one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. Through research, education, advocacy, and community-based support, they work to turn awareness into lifesaving change and help create a culture that is informed, compassionate, and proactive about mental health.
Together, through this internal challenge, we’re raising funds to support critical initiatives such as mental health education, life-saving research, and advocacy for stronger, evidence-based policies. But this campaign is about more than fundraising—it’s about showing up for one another, reducing stigma, and reinforcing that help and connection matter.
By participating, you’re joining a collective effort across GoFundMe to support those impacted by suicide and to help ensure that no one has to navigate these challenges alone.
I invite you to join me and our colleagues in this important work. Your support—whether through a donation, sharing this campaign, or starting conversations—can make a real difference.
Thank you for helping us spread hope and save lives.
