Hope & Healing for the Schindel family

Who I Am:

Hi, I’m Tracy Sullivan, owner of Dragonfly Dream Photography in Thurmont, MD. Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the honor of photographing countless families in our community—capturing everything from newborn snuggles to high school senior milestones. Many of these families have become like family to me.

One of those families is the Schindels. I’ve been photographing their beautiful family for nearly a decade, and they’ve always shown up with warmth, laughter, and love. This year, I was planning to host a fundraiser to help with their son’s upcoming surgery for cerebral palsy. But then, tragedy struck.

About the Fundraiser:

In June, James Schindel—a devoted husband, father, and friend—passed away unexpectedly. His loss has deeply shaken all who knew him, especially his wife and children. While preparing for their son’s important surgery, they’re now facing unimaginable grief and financial stress.

This fundraiser is our way of giving back to a family who has given so much love to others.
